REON Pocket – a wearable thermoelectric cooling device for t-shirts.

The consumer electronics and entertainment giant Sony has launched a range of wearable air conditioning t-shirts.

Using it’s own crowdfunding platform “First Flight”, Sony has unveiled a portable device which fits inside a custom t-shirt and can warm or cool on demand via the companion app. The project is fully funded, so the new product should be shipped in March 2020.

Currently “REON Pocket” is only available to purchase in Japan, but as climate change continues to threaten us, products like this may become more common.
